In May of 2022 Spicy accepted a job with a big law firm in San Francisco, CA which meant that she also had to take the California Bar Exam in July of 2021. Spicy had the month of July off of work to study for the bar exam. During the first few days of studying her younger cousin challenged her to a rap battle that she could not refuse! She felt that her experience as a corporate attorney had made her something of a wordsmith. Although Spicy had never tried writing and reciting words against a beat, she was pretty confident that she could do that too.
After winning the rap challenge, Spicy chuckled at finding out that she could write a rap verse. Oh, she definitely won! Her opponent conceded and even asked for a feature lmfao
Almost two years later spicy created a song around a verse she wrote while working, which became the first song (“fxck you”), which snowballed into her releasing “real spicy”.

“f**k you” is a song packed with emotions similar to those put in another song from the album “need you”. spicy has had a number of personal experiences that have led to her choosing to no longer engage with family, friends, and romantic partner(s). fuck that and fuck you too!
